Aviation Introduction

Aviation or Air transport is the design, development, production, operation, and use of aircraft.
So it basically refers to the activities surrounding mechanical flight and the aircraft industry.
Aircraft, include fixed wing (airplane) and rotary wing (helicopter) types, as well as lighter than air craft such as balloons and airships (also known as dirigibles.)
Aviation can be broadly divided into three areas:

*  Commercial Aviation
  •       is the part of civil aviation (both general aviation and scheduled airline service) that involves operating aircraft for hire to transport passengers or cargo.
*  General Aviation
  •       is one of the two categories of civil aviation. It refers to all flights other than military and scheduled airline and regular cargo flights, both private and commercial. General aviation flights range from gliders and powered parachutes to large, non-scheduled cargo jet flights. The majority of the world's air traffic falls into this category, and most of the world's airports serve general aviation exclusively.
*  Military Aviation
  •       is the use of aircraft and other flying machines for the purposes of conducting or enabling warfare, including national airlift (cargo) capacity to provide logistical supply to forces stationed in a theater or along a front.
